Armenia is rapidly emerging as a dynamic and attractive destination for international business, UK Ambassador to Armenia, Alexandra Cole, said on Friday.
Armenia is strategically located from a geographical standpoint, and by leveraging this position, it can become part of the crossroads between Europe and Asia, the UK Ambassador explained during the International Trade and Investment Forum in Yerevan.
The forum is organized by the EBRD and the Investment Council of Armenia with support from the Good Governance Fund of the UK.
“Armenia is undergoing a remarkable transformation. We are seeing a reform-driven agenda take shape. I believe that Armenia and the Armenian people have always had an entrepreneurial spirit, but now I can truly feel that spirit coming to life in a new way. Armenia is strategically located, and by leveraging that position, it can become part of the crossroads between Europe and Asia. As a result, it is rapidly emerging as a dynamic and attractive destination for international business,” Ambassador Cole said.
She proudly noted that the United Kingdom has been a long-standing partner in Armenia’s development journey.
“We support the creation of a more competitive and sustainable business environment in this country. Today’s gathering is more than just a forum — it is truly a platform for action. We hope it brings together business leaders, policymakers, and investors from Armenia and abroad, providing opportunities to explore and establish partnerships to shape the future of trade and investment across the region. We want to see more action in areas where innovation, entrepreneurship, and international cooperation can flourish because when we invest in Armenia, we invest in a future of resilience, innovation, and shared prosperity,” the ambassador said.
