20th anniversary of Belgium-Armenia Chamber of Commerce celebrated in Yerevan

The 20th anniversary of the Belgium-Armenia Chamber of Commerce was celebrated  in Yerevan, bringing together representatives of Belgian enterprises, businesspeople and partners of the Chamber.

President of the Chamber Valéry Safarian noted that the organization was founded two decades ago on the belief that Armenia and Belgium, despite their geographical distance, could build close relations through business, human ties, and dialogue.

“Over the past 20 years, our Chamber has played an active role in strengthening economic relations between the two countries. During this time, we have organized numerous business missions and created a climate of trust between Armenian and Belgian businesses,” Safarian said.

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Belgium to Armenia Eric de Muynck congratulated the Chamber on its 20th anniversary, praising its years of effective activity.

Among the guests was Raphael de Tramasure, Associate Director of FSE Group, a supplier of medical equipment, who visited Armenia for the first time at the invitation of the Chamber. He said the goal of his visit is to establish cooperation with Armenian medical centers for the supply of technical equipment.

“We are not the producers of the equipment, we act as intermediaries, enabling healthcare institutions to acquire it. We met with private medical centers and clinics to explore ways we can help both expanding and newly established institutions obtain modern equipment through our mediation,” de Tramasure said, adding that there are promising opportunities for cooperation in Armenia and efforts are underway to find a local partner.
