Putin arrives for summit meetings in Tajikistan

Russian President Vladimir Putin arrived in Tajikistan on Wednesday on a state visit, Russia’s TASS news agency reported.

The Russian leader will hold a meeting with Tajik President Emomali Rahmon.

The Kremlin earlier said Putin would take part in a Russia-Central Asia summit, also to be attended by the leaders of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.

The CIS summit will also take part there.

The Armenian government hasn’t yet confirmed PM Nikol Pashinyan’s participation in the summit of the CIS, a regional intergovernmental organization comprising 9 member-states, including Russia, Armenia, Azerbaijan and Belarus.
