UNGA High-Level Week: Armenian, Romanian FMs hold talks

Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan had a meeting with Minister of Foreign Affairs of Romania Oana-Silvia Toiu during UNGA High-Level Week in New York.

The FMs discussed topics on the agenda of cooperation between Armenia and Romania, the foreign ministry said in a press release.

Ararat Mirzoyan and Oana-Silvia Toiu exchanged views on the prospects for deepening the Armenia-EU partnership. The importance of ensuring the inclusivity of regional projects was emphasized.

Touching upon the newly established peace in the region, the Foreign Minister of Armenia presented the ongoing activities towards implementation of the agreements reached on August 8 in Washington D.C.

“In this context, Minister Mirzoyan emphasized the key agreement on the functioning of communications under the jurisdiction of the respective countries and outlined the significance of the TRIPP project in ensuring economic connectivity,” the Armenian foreign ministry said, referring to the Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity (TRIPP) connectivity project.
