Armenia to appoint prosecutor for cooperation at Eurojust

Armenia will appoint a prosecutor for cooperation issues at the European Union Agency for Criminal Justice Cooperation (Eurojust). A draft decision on this matter is included in the agenda of the government’s September 25 session.

"With the adoption of the draft, a prosecutor (representative) for cooperation in Eurojust will operate under the Embassy of the Republic of Armenia in the Kingdom of the Netherlands, ensuring the exchange of information and data necessary for actions aimed at uncovering transnational crimes," reads the document developed by the Prosecutor General's Office of the Republic of Armenia.

On April 5, 2024, the Agreement "On cooperation between the competent authorities of the Republic of Armenia and the European Union in the field of criminal proceedings and with the European Union Agency for Criminal Justice Cooperation (Eurojust)'' was signed, then was ratified on September 10, 2024.
