BTA. Enrique Iglesias Delights 30,000 Fans at Sofia Stadium Concert

Enrique Iglesias staged his fifth and biggest Bulgaria show at Sofia’s Levski National Stadium on Saturday evening, where over 30,000 fans sang along to a 90-minute, 19-song set. Opening in Spanish with Súbeme la Radio (2017), he powered through I’m a Freak (2014), Chasing the Sun (2021), Be with You (2000), Heartbeat (2010), Duele el Corazón (2016, feat. Wisin) and his breakthrough hit Bailamos (1999).

During Cuando Me Enamoro (2010), Iglesias moved to the centre of the stadium to meet the crowd. Before Ring My Bells (2007), he greeted fans in Bulgarian with “Nazdrave,” poured a shot for himself and the on-stage vocalist he called a friend, then paired up for Takin’ Back My Love (2008), originally a duet with Ciara. Joking about the crowd make-up, he quipped that it was “60% women and 40% men.”

The Latin party continued with Me Pasé (2021, feat. Farruko), one of the set’s newer additions alongside Chasing the Sun. Back on the main stage, he ran through I Like How It Feels (2011), Tired of Being Sorry (2007) and Escape (2001), capping the latter with a nod to Eurythmics’ Sweet Dreams, before Tonight (I’m Lovin’ You) (2010).

A standout moment came when Iglesias shared the things he enjoys most, writing and performing, time with fans and family, and a Saturday-night drink, then playfully asked, “Sofia, is anyone drinking here? … Don’t start drinking until you’re 85.”

For Hero (2001), he returned to the B-stage in the arena centre, followed by El Perdón (2015, with Nicky Jam) and the global smash Bailando (2014). The finale, I Like It (2010), saw hundreds of white EI-stamped balloons and a burst of fireworks to close the night.
