Speaker Simonyan, outgoing Iranian ambassador discuss Armenian-Iranian relations

On September 12, Speaker of the National Assembly of Armenia Alen Simonyan received the outgoing Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Armenia, Mehdi Sobhani.

Simonyan thanked the ambassador for his efforts to strengthen Armenian-Iranian relations and wished him success in his future work. Ambassador Sobhani, in turn, expressed gratitude to Simonyan for the successful cooperation during his tenure.

The parties also discussed key issues on the Armenian-Iranian agenda, including inter-parliamentary cooperation and regional developments.
