Armenian FM meets with foreign envoys to NATO

Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan has held a meeting with the Permanent Representatives of several NATO countries accredited to the alliance. 

The FM spoke about Armenia’s approach to developing partnership with NATO, as well as individual member states, and the jointly implemented work in that direction. The existing opportunities were discussed, the ministry said in a press release.

Mirzoyan lauded the Washington accords signed with Azerbaijan as “a highly important development on the road to ensuring peace in the region.” He briefed the envoys to NATO about the ongoing discussions regarding the implementation of the agreements.

In the context of foreign policy and security policy, the FM presented Armenia’s vision for strengthening democratic institutions and resilience, stability in the region, as well as developing bilateral ties in various directions amid the dynamically developing conditions in the world. 

An exchange of view took place around international developments.

The Foreign Minister answered to the questions of the NATO envoys.
