President Khachaturyan meets newly appointed Ambassador of Burundi

The newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Burundi to Armenia, Ernest Ndabashinze (with residence in Rome), presented his credentials to President Vahagn Khachaturyan.

Congratulating the ambassador on his appointment, President Khachaturyan expressed hope that his activity would contribute to strengthening Armenia-Burundi relations and advancing new joint initiatives, the Presidential office has said in a readout.

Ambassador Ndabashinze, expressing gratitude for the reception, pledged to actively work on enhancing bilateral cooperation.

During the meeting, President Khachaturyan highlighted the importance of expanding and deepening Armenia's ties with African countries, noting that Armenia continues to take steps in this direction through political consultations and other initiatives.

The discussion also covered potential cooperation in tourism, education, and technology.

Reference was made to the 17th Conference of the Parties to the UN Convention on Biological Diversity (COP 17), to be held in Armenia.
