Prosecutor-General Anna Vardapetyan to participate in IAP annual conference in Singapore

Prosecutor-General of Armenia, Anna Vardapetyan, is visiting Singapore to participate in the 30th Annual Conference and General Meeting of the International Association of Prosecutors (IAP), her office announced on Friday.

Vardapetyan was nominated as member of the IAP Executive Committee during the body's April 8 meeting in Buenos Aires. The election of a member to the Executive Committee is expected on September 9.

Armenia has been a member of the IAP since 1999 but this marks the first time that an Armenian Prosecutor-General is nominated for membership to the Executive Committee.

During the visit to Singapore, Vardapetyan is expected to hold meetings with her counterparts from Saudi Arabia, Sweden, Switzerland, Georgia, as well as the Prosecutor General of the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires, who serves as IAP President.
