Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan met with President of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) Jin Liqun in Beijing during his working visit, the Prime Minister’s Office has said in a readout.
Pashinyan noted that Armenia’s membership in the AIIB opens new opportunities for the implementation of investment programs. Both sides stressed that cooperation would contribute to infrastructure development projects.
Discussions focused on potential areas of joint work, including transport, energy, and communication infrastructure. Pashinyan also presented the Academic City project, highlighting possible AIIB involvement as an investor.
Jin Liqun reaffirmed the bank's readiness to support Armenia’s economic, scientific, and educational development by financing projects aimed at long-term growth and strengthening regional ties.
The parties agreed to continue work toward developing and implementing concrete investment projects.
