Armenia-Azerbaijan peace will open border, Erdoğan says

A peace agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan will help open border crossings and activate new roads and railways, Turkish President Recep Tayyip  Erdoğan told reporters, Daily Sabah reported.

He expressed  optimism about peace in the region following the signing of a U.S.-brokered peace agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan.

Azerbaijan's President Ilham Aliyev and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan are "on the same page" regarding peace, Erdoğan said.

“Peace will help open border crossings and activate new roads and railways", he added.
