Minister of High-Tech Industry, Chinese Ambassador discuss expanding Armenia-China cooperation

Minister of High-Tech Industry of Armenia Mkhitar Hayrapetyan on Friday met with a delegation led by China’s Ambassador to Armenia, Li Xinwei.

According to the ministry, Minister Hayrapetyan expressed confidence that Ambassador Li Xinwei’s diplomatic mission would give new impetus to the development of Armenian-Chinese relations, particularly contributing to the expansion of cooperation in the field of high technologies.

He stressed the importance of high technologies as a priority area of bilateral collaboration.

Ambassador Li Xinwei thanked the minister for the warm welcome and noted that China attaches great importance to strengthening friendly ties with Armenia. He emphasized that during his mission, he would work to further deepen bilateral cooperation.

The discussion focused on science, innovation and technology, with particular attention to space technologies, cybersecurity, digitalization, and the technology industry.

The sides also highlighted the importance of high-level mutual visits and opportunities to expand cooperation within the framework of international organizations.
