Putin arrives in Russia’s Far East for stopover ahead of Trump meeting in Alaska

Russian President Vladimir Putin has arrived in Magadan in the country’s far eastern region before traveling to the U.S. to meet President Donald Trump.

In Magadan, Putin will meet local authorities and visit several facilities, including a seafood business and a cultural center, Interfax reported.

After holding a meeting with Magadan Oblast Governor Sergey Nosov, Putin will depart for the U.S. state of Alaska to meet Trump.
