Armenian, Azeri leaders endorse Trump for Nobel Peace Prize

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev have both endorsed US President Donald Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize after he brokered a major peace deal between the two countries.

“President Trump deserves the Nobel Peace Prize,” Pashinyan said at the trilateral meeting when asked by a reporter.

He said he would support and promote the nomination of Trump.

Aliyev meanwhile said perhaps Armenia and Azerbaijan would agree to jointly nominate Trump for the Nobel prize.

Pashinyan joked by saying, ‘We have a draft we can sign right now?’

Both leaders expressed hope that Trump would invite them to the ceremony in the event of winning the prize.
