Arsen Torosyan warns of hybrid attacks aimed at derailing Armenia's peace process

Arsen Torosyan, a member of the Armenian National Assembly from the “Civil Contract” faction and Chair of the NA Standing Committee on Healthcare, has urged the public not to succumb to informational and other provocations intended to divert Armenia from the path of peace and the building of sovereign statehood.

In a Facebook post, Torosyan warned that hybrid attacks on Armenia are likely to intensify in the coming days, as the country "moves closer to achieving the goal of establishing peace, which in turn will significantly enhance our sovereignty and independence."

According to him, a great part of Armenia’s political spectrum is working against this goal being influenced by external forces that do not want peace in the region, as their presence would lose relevance.

“They also do not want independent and sovereign states in the South Caucasus that can communicate with each other directly, resolve disagreements on their own, and build mutual trust,” he said.

Torosyan stressed the importance of resisting provocations aimed at  derailing the process of building peace and sovereign statehood.

“We are going through this difficult but important path together, and each of us, literally every citizen of Armenia, has an invaluable role in the success of this process. I am confident that, realizing this role, we will all stand firmly by our statehood,” he added.

He also urged the public to follow official news sources to stay informed about ongoing developments.
