Paruyr Hovhannisyan elected Vice-President of ECOSOC 2026 session

Paruyr Hovhannisyan, Armenia’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, has been elected Vice-President of the UN Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) for its 2026 session, the UN press service reported.
Also elected as Vice-Presidents are Amar Bendjama of Algeria (African States), Wellington Darío Bencosme Castaños of the Dominican Republic (Latin American and Caribbean States), and Héctor José Gómez Hernández of Spain (Western European and Other States).
