Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed a law ratifying the new agreement with Armenia on the Armenian-Russian University, TASS reported.

Signed in December 2024 in Moscow, the agreement replaces the 1997 document governing the university's establishment and operations. It was submitted to the Russian State Duma in July 2025. It ensures the continuity of legal regulation related to the activities of the university.

Located in Yerevan, the university has operated since 1997, offering education in both Russian and Armenian.
