Russia says it is ready to provide support to Armenian-Azerbaijani peace process

Russia supports the ongoing negotiations between Armenia and Azerbaijan, Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov has said.

“By all means we support the negotiations between Azerbaijan and Armenia,” he told reporters, according to RIA Novosti. “And we want to see Baku and Yerevan achieve the signing of the treaty as soon as possible. At the same time, we are ready to provide any support in this process if necessary.”

In response to a reporter’s question about the so-called Zangezur corridor, Peskov said it is a sovereign matter of the two countries.
