Former MP Ruben Hakobyan detained

Former Member of the National Assembly Ruben Hakobyan has been detained, Kima Avdalyan, the press secretary of the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia has announced.

Hakobyan is suspected of making public calls for the usurpation of power. According to investigators, he allegedly made such calls during a media interview on July 1, 2025.
