Armenian High-Tech Industry Minister, Bulgarian Deputy PM visit regional supercomputer center

The Minister of High-Tech Industry of Armenia Mkhitar Hayrapetyan visited Sofia Tech Park, where he met with the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Bulgaria and Minister of Innovation and Growth, Tomislav Donchev.

According to the Ministry of High-Tech Industry of Armenia, the meeting focused on opportunities to deepen technological, investment, and scientific research cooperation between the two countries, as well as the implementation of joint programs in the fields of high technology and innovation.

Minister Hayrapetyan presented recent developments and major projects in Armenia's technological sector. Both sides emphasized the untapped potential for cooperation between Armenia and Bulgaria.

Following the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister Donchev, Minister Hayrapetyan, and representatives of the Armenian delegation toured Sofia Tech Park. They visited the supercomputer center, one of the most powerful in the region which supports the development of innovative solutions in artificial intelligence, biotechnology, climate modeling, and strategic manufacturing sectors.

Minister Hayrapetyan familiarized himself with the technical capabilities of the supercomputer center, data processing infrastructure, and also discussed prospects for future cooperation, particularly in joint AI and Big Data projects.
