EU top diplomat says Trump’s 50-day Putin deadline is too long

EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas has welcomed US President Donald Trump's stronger stance on Russia, but said a 50-day ultimatum on punishing Moscow is "very long".
"It is very positive President Trump is taking a strong stance on Russia," Kallas told journalists, the AFP reported.
"On the other hand, 50 days is a very long time if we see that they are killing innocent civilians every day."
Trump said on Monday he would impose 100% tariffs on Russia’s main trading partners if Putin does not agree to negotiations within 50 days.
