Russia says it welcomes Armenia-Azerbaijan direct talks

Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said Thursday that Moscow welcomes the direct dialogue between Armenia and Azerbaijan as leaders of the two countries met in Abu Dhabi for peace talks.
“We definitely welcome the fact of direct dialogue,” Peskov was quoted by Russian media outlets as saying when asked about the Armenian-Azeri summit.
Armenian PM Nikol Pashinyan and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev held talks in Abu Dhabi on Thursday morning.
