Moscow comments on reports about Azeri arms shipments to Ukraine

Russia has commented on media reports indicating that Azerbaijan has supplied arms to Ukraine.

The official representative of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Maria Zakharova, has addressed the reports at a press briefing in Moscow.

She emphasized that any information related to the topic — including media reports — is being thoroughly verified. “If it concerns countries with hostile regimes, then that is one matter. But if it concerns states with which we have a trustworthy dialogue and allied relations, then we raise the issue at the appropriate level, discuss it, present it to them, and receive explanations or denials. The goal of this process is to minimize possible harm. That harm is inflicted not only on us but also on international and regional peace and stability,” Zakharova said.
