Parliament approves detention of opposition MP Artur Sargsyan

The National Assembly of Armenia has approved the petition to detain Artur Sargsyan, a deputy from the opposition  Hayastan faction.

A total of 62 deputies participated in the closed vote, all of whom voted in favor, with none against.

Earlier, the National Assembly had also approved the Prosecutor General’s petition to initiate criminal prosecution against Sargsyan.
