Armenia and the EU have launched security and defense consultations, Armenian FM Ararat Mirzoyan said.
Speaking at a joint press conference with EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice-President of the European Commission, Kaja Kallas, Mirzoyan described the launch of these consultations as a "crucial step" toward aligning cooperation with modern challenges and making additional efforts to address them.
“In this context, I’d like to specifically underscore the cooperation aimed at strengthening Armenia’s resilience and further developing democratic institutions, including efforts to combat hybrid threats and disinformation,” FM Mirzoyan added.
He noted that during the meeting with Kallas they highlighted the activities of the EU Monitoring Mission (EUMA) and discussed providing aid to Armenia under the European Peace Facility.
