Armenian, Georgian officials discuss accelerating brandy transit

Armenian Economy Minister Gevorg Papoyan met with Georgian Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture David Songulashvili.

The meeting took place on the sidelines of the 44th Session of the FAO Conference in Rome.

“We discussed the transit of brandy through Georgian territory, specifically opportunities to speed up the process,” Papoyan said on Facebook.

The meeting follows recent reports that Georgian customs officials had been holding Armenian brandy shipments to Russia for inspection.
