Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan will visit Turkiye on June 20 at the invitation of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Speaker of Parliament Alen Simonyan confirmed to reporters on Tuesday.
“Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan will visit Turkiye on June 20. There’s been an invitation by the Turkish President. All regional steps will be discussed during the visit,” Simonyan said.
Simonyan described the would-be visit as ‘historic’.
Simonyan said the risks regarding a possible new war between Azerbaijan and Armenia are minimal, and the Armenian authorities are working to overall eliminate these minimal risks. He said the upcoming visit to Turkiye by the PM is one of those steps.
