Israeli attack is encroachment against Iran’s territorial integrity, says Armenian official

The Israeli attack is an encroachment against the territorial integrity of Iran and will negatively impact the region, Secretary of the Security Council Armen Grigoryan has said.

He made the remarks during a panel discussion at the APRI-2025 forum.

Speaking about Armenia’s posture amid the escalation between Israel and Iran, Grigoryan said Armenia has been preparing and discussing every possible scenario for quite some time. 

“We discussed all possible scenarios of military escalation and made preparatory works accordingly, and we’ve made planning as part of it. We have planning according to scenarios, and we will act accordingly,” Grigoryan said.

He said that any escalation in the region leads to instability and there is nothing positive about it.

“This is an encroachment against Iran’s territorial integrity, which will naturally have negative impact in the region. We hope that it will be possible to peacefully resolve all the issues as soon as possible,” Secretary Grigoryan said.

The Armenian Foreign Ministry earlier released a statement condemning the Israeli attack on Iran.
