Lori governor resigns

Governor of Lori Aram Ghazaryan has announced his resignation.

In a statement released on social media, Ghazaryan said he was resigning to start working in another position. He did not elaborate but said that an announcement will be made later.

Ghazaryan thanked Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan for “the trust and honor of giving me the chance to serve my home, Lori province, as governor.”

He also thanked the residents of Lori and his staff. 

“I want to convey special thanks to my colleagues in the executive and legislative government for continuous support and constructive relations, as well as our fellow party members for united work and ideological unity,” he said.
