Foreign Minister Mirzoyan holds meeting wth U.S. Deputy Assistant Secretary of State

On May 29, Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan received Joshua Huck, the U.S. Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs, the foreign ministry has said in a statement.

The two sides discussed issues on the agenda of the Strategic Partnership between Armenia and the United States. They exchanged views on the development of cooperation in various areas of mutual interest, as outlined in the Partnership Charter, aimed at achieving concrete results and enhancing the resilience of the Republic of Armenia. Upcoming programs were also discussed.

Ararat Mirzoyan and Joshua Huck praised the active mutual visits, including the participation of U.S. officials and experts in the 2nd International Forum "Yerevan Dialogue."

Foreign Minister Mirzoyan and the U.S. Deputy Assistant Secretary of State also discussed regional security issues. Minister Mirzoyan emphasized that there is a real opportunity to establish peace in the South Caucasus and noted that the signing of the Agreement on Peace and Interstate Relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan would be a historic milestone on that path.

The meeting also included an exchange of views on the ongoing efforts to implement the peace agenda.
