No apparent marks of violence on body of 2-year-old, authorities say

No marks of violence have been detected on the body of the 2-year-old boy recovered from Marmarik river in Armenia’s Kotayk province, authorities have said.

The body of the boy who went missing on May 4 was found on May 24.

Investigative Committee spokesperson Kima Avdalyan told Armenpress that a forensic examination will be conducted, but no marks of violence have been detected through external examination.

“No trauma or marks of violence have been detected by external examination. Forensic examination has been assigned,” Avdalyan said.

She said the body was recovered some 7 kilometers downstream the river from the family’s house in Marmarik.
