Speaking at a joint press conference with Armenian President Vahagn Khachaturyan, President Kavelashvili said the strategic partnership agreement signed between Armenia and Georgia in 2024 paved the way for even stronger and deeper cooperation.
He said he was pleased to note that Armenia and Georgia have been deepening bilateral political and economic ties despite the difficult geopolitical situation in the world.
“Georgia and Armenia have exemplary bilateral cooperation in numerous areas, last year we signed the agreement on strategic partnership, which is yet another affirmation of our strong friendly relations and paves the way for deeper and comprehensive cooperation in all areas,” the Georgian President said.
He said Armenia is one of the most important trade partners of Georgia.
“Every year our country receives a great number of visitors from Armenia, and Armenia has always been among the top three in the list of visitors with this indicator,” he added.
