Armenia’s scientific powerhouse YSMU named top growing medical university in post-Soviet region

The Mkhitar Heratsi Yerevan State Medical University has been named the top growing medical university in post-Soviet countries by OncoDaily, a leading oncology media platform.

OncoDaily said it developed and used the Exponentially Weighted Growth Index (EWGI) for its research.

To ensure that the ranking was both meaningful and credible, OncoDaily established a key inclusion criterion: only universities with at least 500 publications indexed in PubMed (the US National Library of Medicine) during the 1991-2024 period were considered.
