Slovenia sees potential to develop cooperation with Armenia in several areas

Slovenian Foreign Minister Tanja Fajon said on April 16 in Yerevan that there was the potential for deepening and enhancing the cooperation with Armenia in a number of areas and businesses in both countries have displayed interest in this regard.
Fajon, speaking at a joint press conference with Armenian FM Ararat Mirzoyan, expressed confidence that her visit to Armenia would further strengthen cooperation in political and economic directions.
“I’d like to highly praise and appreciate the work that Armenia has been doing,” the Slovenian FM said.
She said there was the potential to enhance cooperation in pharmaceuticals, agriculture, sports infrastructures, energy, space, computer and software solutions, and both Slovenian and Armenian companies are interested in these sectors.
“Armenia is a priority for us also in terms of humanitarian and humanitarian development programs, and we will continue our cooperation here, providing psychological support to women and children,” she said, referring to the assistance program for forcibly displaced families of Nagorno-Karabakh.
