The Armenia-Slovenia high-level political dialogue is proceeding intensively, with rich content, Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan has said.
Speaking at a joint press conference with the visiting Slovenian Foreign Minister Tanja Fajon, FM Mirzoyan said Armenia values the friendly ties with Slovenia that are based on common values and mutual interests.
He said the meeting with Fajon was a good chance to develop bilateral cooperation.
“Today we had a rather comprehensive discussion about both bilateral agenda, regional and international processes, from which I’d like to point out a few things. First of all, I’d mention the high-level political dialogue between Armenia and Slovenia, which is proceeding rather intensively, with a rich content. We attach importance to our friendly ties with Slovenia. They are anchored on, first of all, common values and of course mutual interests,” Mirzoyan said.
The mutual visits in the past few years conveyed rather interesting dynamics to the Armenian-Slovenian dialogue, he added.
“Today we spoke about areas such as high technologies, information technologies, innovative agriculture, education, tourism, green energy, pharmaceuticals, many other areas of mutual interest. Certainly, increasing the volumes of trade turnover is an important target, and in this regard, we also spoke about the cooperation which we have, but which must be further enhanced,” the Armenian FM said.
He said Armenia values the cooperation with Slovenia in humanitarian issues.
“In this context I’d like to publicly thank Slovenia for its continuing programs for the forcibly displaced women and children of Nagorno-Karabakh. I’d like to underscore that we attach importance to the relations with Slovenia not only in the abovementioned bilateral context, but also in the context of Armenia-EU partnership,” Mirzoyan said.
Mirzoyan also attached importance to the cooperation with Slovenia in international platforms, namely the UN.
