Trump welcomes steps taken by Armenia and Azerbaijan to establish peace

US President Donald Trump has sent a congratulatory message to Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev on the occasion of the Nowruz holiday, praising the efforts of Armenia and Azerbaijan to establish peace, Azerbaijani media reports.

The US President noted  that he looks forward to the great achievements that the United States and Azerbaijan could achieve in the coming years through joint work.

"I appreciate Azerbaijan's support and friendship with our partner Israel and applaud the steps you and Armenia are taking to bring peace to the region,'' the US President said.
