Armenian Minister of Economy Gevorg Papoyan, on the sidelines of the AIM Congress in the United Arab Emirates, met with Angola’s Minister of Industry and Trade, Rui Miguêns de Oliveira.

The ministers discussed “the issue of acquisition of rough diamonds from Angola and importing them to Armenia”, the ministry said in a press release.

Papoyan presented Armenia's investment climate and said that Armenia has a highly developed diamond cutting industry capable of importing and processing up to 1,5 million carats of uncut diamonds annually from Angola.

The ministers agreed to continue discussions.
