Armenia’s national oncology center, Germany’s University Hospital Heidelberg sign memorandum of understanding

The V.A. Fanarjyan National Center of Oncology of Armenia and Germany's University Hospital Heidelberg have signed a memorandum of understanding during Armenian Deputy Minister of Healthcare Lena Nanushyan’s visit to Germany.
Nanushyan met with Professor Jurgen Debus, Chairman of the Board of Trustees at University Hospital Heidelberg and medical director at the Department of radiation oncology and radiation therapy, the healthcare ministry said in a press release.
The partnership in the healthcare sector between Armenia and Germany will be strengthened through expanding the introduction of healthcare innovations and technologies, Nanushyan said at the meeting.
V.A. Fanarjyan National Center of Oncology and University Hospital Heidelberg representatives held discussions and exchange of experience where experts presented innovative approaches in treating oncological diseases and the rendered services in both countries.
The memorandum is a good opportunity for developing ties between the medical facilities of the two countries, including in terms of joint research, observership programs, trainings, seminars and exchange of experience, the ministry said.
