President Khachaturyan, Vietnam’s National Assembly Chairman Trần Thanh Mẫn discuss cooperation prospects

President of the Republic of Armenia Vahagn Khachaturyan received a delegation led by the Chairman of the National Assembly of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, Trần Thanh Mẫn.
The President welcomed the guests and highlighted the continuous development of friendly relations between Armenia and Vietnam.
“Your visit testifies to the warm relations between our two countries, which are of great importance to us. I am confident that our cooperation in various fields will continue to develop.
Since 2018, Armenia has been a parliamentary republic, and in this context, inter-parliamentary relations are of great significance to us. I am convinced that your visit will provide new impetus for the development of relations between our countries,” noted President Khachaturyan.
Chairman of the National Assembly of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam Trần Thanh Mẫn expressed gratitude for the warm welcome, emphasizing the importance of strengthening ties between the two countries.
“My visit reflects our state’s and people’s desire to further deepen friendship and cooperation with Armenia. We aim to promote sustainable development and partnership not only in the political sphere but also in various fields, including science, technology, healthcare, and the economy,” he said.
During the meeting, a wide range of issues related to cooperation prospects were discussed. The parties emphasized the importance of strengthening ties in political, economic, educational, and other spheres.
According to the Presidential Office, the meeting also focused on establishing and strengthening business ties between the two countries. The parties proposed encouraging direct contacts between business communities, which would help increase trade volumes and facilitate mutually beneficial investments.
The parties also underscored the significance of cooperation on various international platforms and within the framework of Francophonie. They agreed to enhance collaboration in international forums and support each other's initiatives.
The discussion also covered prospects for cooperation in education, healthcare, and high technologies.
Views were exchanged on regional developments and the overall situation.
The President reaffirmed Armenia’s commitment to establishing lasting peace in the region. Presenting Armenia’s “Crossroads of Peace” project, he noted that it would facilitate communication and strengthen political and economic ties, not only within the region but also with the broader Asian area.
The parties reaffirmed their readiness to further develop and deepen bilateral relations for the well-being and prosperity of both nations.
