Canadian Foreign Minister commemorates Nagorno-Karabakh 4-Day War victims

Canadian Foreign Minister Mélanie Joly has commemorated the victims of the Nagorno-Karabakh 4-Day War of April 2016.
In a post on X, FM Joly also reaffirmed Canada’s commitment to peace and dialogue.
“On the anniversary of the 4-Day War of April 2016 in Nagorno-Karabakh, we remember the lives lost and reaffirm Canada’s commitment to peace and dialogue. A lasting resolution can only come through diplomacy and respect for international law,” the Canadian FM said in a statement on X.
In the early hours of April 2 in 2016, Azerbaijan launched a major unprovoked attack against Nagorno-Karabakh. The fighting ended with a ceasefire on April 5. Nagorno-Karabakh reported over 100 casualties, including several civilians.
