Armenia, Kazakhstan to boost cooperation in labor and social affairs

Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Narek Mkrtchyan received Wednesday the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Kazakhstan to Armenia Bolat Imanbayev.

According to the ministry, a number of issues related to labor and social protection were discussed during the meeting.

 Minister Mkrtchyan emphasized the importance of sectoral cooperation with Kazakhstan and underscored the strong ties between the two countries.

According to the ministry, Ambassador Imanbayev also highlighted the significance of efforts to develop bilateral relations, describing sectoral cooperation as effective and constructive.

In this context, both sides stressed the importance of the Memorandum of Intent on Cooperation in the Social and Labor Sector, signed in Yerevan in 2023 between the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs of Armenia and the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of Kazakhstan, which "has provided a significant boost to relations between the two countries.''

During the meeting, both sides also emphasized the role of joint efforts within the framework of the protocol of the 10th session of the Armenia-Kazakhstan Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation.

The parties expressed their readiness to engage in various initiatives organized by both countries.
