NASA terminated $420M in unneeded contracts last week, says DOGE

The U.S. Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), run by billionaire Elon Musk, has announced multimillion dollar savings implemented in NASA over the course of the past week.

“Good work by NASA this week: Eliminated their unused Purchasing Cards (80%); Terminated $420M in unneeded contracts, including $45M ($15M each) to three separate consultants, all for "Change Management Support Services”,” DOGE said on X.

DOGE, an initiative in the U.S. President Donald Trump’s administration, has a mission of "modernizing federal technology and software to maximize governmental efficiency and productivity.”
