U.S. President Donald Trump's special envoy to the Middle East, Steve Witkoff, who has been representing Washington in the Ukraine talks, has said that Kyiv has agreed to hold elections.
Witkoff made remarks in an interview with American journalist Tucker Carlson.
Carlon recalled that Moscow questions Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky’s legitimacy because his term has expired.
"Do you think there will be elections in Ukraine?" Carlson asked.
"Yes. There will be. They've agreed to it. There will be elections in Ukraine," Witkoff responded.
