Azerbaijani Defense Ministry disseminates fourth false statement in two days

The statement issued by the Ministry of Defence of Azerbaijan, asserting that on March 17, between 01:25 a.m. and 12:55 p.m., units of the Armenian Armed Forces opened fire on Azerbaijani positions located in the eastern and southeastern parts of the border, does not correspond to reality, the Defence Ministry of the Republic of Armenia has said in a statement.

"It is essential to highlight that the Office of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia has proposed the establishment of a joint Armenian-Azerbaijani mechanism for the investigation of ceasefire violations and related incidents. However, Azerbaijan has yet to respond to this proposal,'' it reads.

The Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Armenia reaffirms that, in accordance with the position of the Office of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, it stands ready to investigate the facts supporting the statement issued by the Ministry of Defence of Azerbaijan, should they be provided to the Republic of Armenia.
