Armenian Ambassador, French interior minister discuss unlawfully held POWs in Azerbaijan

Armenian Ambassador to France Arman Khachatryan has met with French Interior Minister Bruno Retailleau.

In a readout the embassy said that Ambassador Khachatryan presented the Armenian government’s efforts for achieving regional peace, the Crossroads of Peace project, as well as the latest international developments around Armenia.

Retailleau reiterated France’s strong commitment to support Armenia.

A broad range of issues pertaining to strengthening the cooperation between the Armenian and French interior ministries, the Armenia-EU visa liberalization dialogue, as well as the activities of the EU monitoring mission (EUMA) were discussed.

The ambassador and the French minister also discussed the issue of achieving the release of the ethnic Armenian POWs, captives and other detainees unlawfully held in Azerbaijan, the embassy said.
