President Khachaturyan visits Armenian church in Montevideo

Armenian President Vahagn Khachaturyan has visited the Surp Nerses Shnorhali Cathedral in Montevideo during his trip to Uruguay, the president’s office said in a press release.

The Surp Nerses Shnorhali Cathedral is the prelacy of the Diocese of the Armenian Church of Uruguay.

Archbishop Hakob Glnchyan, the Prelate of the Diocese, thanked the President for the visit and stressed its importance for strengthening Armenia-Diaspora ties. The President also met with members of the Armenian community.
