Russian Foreign Ministry announces possibility of long-term settlement in Ukraine

According to Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Vershinin, a long-term settlement of the conflict in Ukraine is possible.

“We believe there is an opportunity to reach a settlement,'' he said, emphasizing the elimination of its root causes as a key condition.

"President Vladimir Putin has spoken about this multiple times. We remain open to real negotiations,” he noted.

Vershinin stressed that these talks should aim for a long-term resolution, ensuring reliable security for the Russian Federation and respecting the fundamental rights of the civilian population in Ukraine.
