Speaker Simonyan meets members of foreign affairs committee at Italy Chamber of Deputies

Armenian Speaker of Parliament Alen Simonyan met in Rome with Chairperson of the Committee on foreign affairs of Italy's Chamber of Deputies Giulio Tremonti and Vice Chairperson Paolo Formentini, as well as other members of the committee.

In addition to discussing the Armenian-Italian agenda and interparliamentary cooperation, the legislators discussed issues pertaining to Armenia’s EU integration and the Armenia-Azerbaijan peace treaty, the parliament’s press service said.

Alen Simonyan drew the Italian lawmakers’ attention to the issue of repatriation of the Armenian prisoners held in Azerbaijan.
