Swedish Member of Parliament lauds Armenia EU move

Swedish Member of Parliament Erik Hellsborn has commended the Armenian parliament’s adoption of the EU integration bill.

In an interview with Armenpress the Swedish legislator said the decision would be beneficial both for Armenia and the EU.

He stressed that the path towards joining the EU is long and difficult.

“This is very positive. I am deeply convinced that Armenia’s future is with the democratic West. Of course the path to becoming a member of the EU is long, with high requirements, as it should be. This is a big step in the right direction. I think it will be beneficial both for Armenia and the EU,” he said.
